Computer-Aided, Person-to-Person Services: Design, Administration, Tracking, and Analysis

A NEW AND INNOVATIVE DEVELOPMENT IN THE DELIVERY OF HUMAN SERVICES

CappsDATA
is an integrated, real-time system which supports the provision of individualized, high quality human services.

CappsDATA
is designed to assist in planning, displaying and gathering information, then routing the information to the people who need it most when they need it.

CappsDATA

enhances active treatment service delivery and works to ensure the gathering and reporting of useful and accurate information for tracking outcomes and future planning.

Person-to-person services

Increasingly, the means of maintaining a satisfactory lifestyle for individuals with serious cognitive and/or physical impairments are provided at considerable cost and, generally, with less than satisfactory outcomes. These are the personal services provided by entry-level, direct-care employees of congregate living facilities such as group homes, nursing homes, special schools, youth treatment centers, and rehabilitation services.

CappsDATA is a New Way
CappsDATA is not simply a computer enhancement of the existing way of doing business. Rather, it is a computer aided process that actively supports direct-care services and dramatically alters and enhances the way in which person-to-person services are designed, administered, tracked, and analyzed. It is an environment where service program conception, implementation, and data feedback are "on-line" using networked PC's that link planning functions directly into kiosks in the client living/activity areas. Monitoring, communication, record-keeping, information gathering, and summarizing all become tasks that are accomplished with the aid of machines which do these tasks inexpensively and without pain.

Improves quality of service outcomes
CappsDATA was not developed and implemented for demonstration purposes. Nor was it motivated by cost-cutting, but rather, because the governing organization dedicated to providing the best possible care to the vulnerable individuals in its care.

CappsDATA makes it possible to plan and deliver heavy schedules of reliable, consistent direct-care services even with relatively inexperienced employees. It provides for responsive, ongoing improvement of services by tracking and providing immediate feedback on every relevant detail of service. It maintains and interprets huge amounts of data acquired in real-time by the direct-care staff.
